Events at TreeTown
We think our community is pretty great, so we’re always thinking up fun parties and events to see each other more often! We also believe it’s important to be an active part of the Ann Arbor athletic community as a whole, and so we frequently open events up for non-members to participate.

GOAT Midwinter Endurance Challenge
January 21, 2018
Calling all endurance athletes—runners, triathletes, rowers, and CrossFitters—you are invited to compete in this unique, 100-minute athletic event involving state-of-the-art indoor equipment.
We want to see who can go the distance in a four-part workout combining time on our Bkool smart bikes, Concept2 Rowers and Ski Ergs, and motor-less AirRunner Curve treadmills.
The event will begin with a 25-minute run on the AirRunner treadmill followed by a 5-minute rest and transition to a 25-minute push on a Concept2 Ski Erg. Again, you will have a 5-minute break before a very challenging and realistic ride up the Alpe d’Huez on a Bkool smart bike with computer-guided terrain simulation. Finally, you will have one more 5-minute rest before tackling the last 25 minutes of work on a Concept2 Rower.
To keep this a fair and interesting competition, all equipment monitors will be covered, so you won’t know the distance you’ve covered in each event until the very end. And no heart rate monitors allowed! The idea is to truly push yourself during the entire event to attain the title GOAT Endurance Champion.
Overall, Masters, and Under-18 GOAT Endurance Champion titles will be awarded based on farthest cumulative distance. Top prizes are Garmin Vivioactive 3 Smartwatches with heart rate monitors. Cash prizes will be awarded for the farthest individual run, ski, bike and row.
This is a great opportunity to push yourself and shake up your midwinter training!
