CrossFit Level 1 Trainer
In 2016, a friend dragged Claire to her first CrossFit class. She had her doubts about this fitness program. Although she was hesitant to commit at first, she did a few drop in classes and was soon convinced CrossFit was her new love. Athletic success has always been in her grasp, but CrossFit demanded different strengths she had not focused on before. And she reveled in that challenge.
Claire began as a gymnast and later transitioned into track and field while in school. She was a pole vaulter for the University of Michigan from 2012-2016. She has completed her bachelor’s degree and is currently pursuing her master’s degree in movement science in the School of Kinesiology. Claire also conducts research in the School of Dentistry, focusing on mammal mastication.
With an educational focus in exercise physiology and biomechanics, Claire loves to watch movement patterns and encourage members to move more efficiently. Supporting people to reach their goals and achieve personal success is the driving force behind her passion for lifestyle and nutrition coaching. Coaching CrossFit and performing Body Composition Testing on members allows Claire to combine her education and passion.
Claire has recently begun competing in weightlifting with the Tree Town Barbell Club. In her “free” time, she enjoys mountain biking, traveling, drinking, petting dogs, and quality conversation.
